How long can I store my medication once it arrives?

Storage time depends on the medication. Refrigerate it on arrival, and follow the manufacturer's guidance for how long it stays stable.

How long your medication can be stored depends on the specific product. We recommend refrigerating your medication on arrival, and following the manufacturer's storage guidance for your particular pen.

General guidance

Semaglutide pens (such as Ozempic and Wegovy) are typically stable for up to several weeks at room temperature (commonly up to around 8 weeks) once in use, in addition to refrigerated storage — but always check the storage details printed on your product's packaging, as this varies by medication and dose. Tirzepatide pens (Mounjaro and Zepbound) have their own storage guidance and should generally be kept refrigerated.

Where to find your medication's exact storage details

The most accurate information is on your product's packaging and patient information leaflet, or the manufacturer's website. You can also find pen instructions in our article “Cold-chain shipping: is my medication safe in transit, and how do I store it?” If you're ever unsure, contact our support team and our pharmacy team will confirm the right storage for your specific medication.

Storage times vary by medication, so always defer to the manufacturer's guidance and your pharmacist over any general figure.
