If you already have a prescription from your family doctor or another provider, we can often help — but the process works a little differently than a straight transfer. Your medication still needs to be prescribed by a Kinro practitioner before our pharmacy can fill it.
How it works
Start your free consultation as usual.
Upload your existing prescription into your messages with your practitioner, so they have it for context.
Your practitioner reviews your information along with your uploaded prescription.
If treatment is appropriate for you, your practitioner issues your prescription, which is then filled through our partner pharmacy.
Why do I need a consultation if I already have a prescription?
Our pharmacy can only dispense a prescription written by a Kinro practitioner who has reviewed your information. Uploading your existing prescription gives your practitioner helpful background, but they complete their own review and issue the prescription themselves — that's what allows us to fill it and manage your renewals going forward.
What will it cost?
There's no fee for the consultation. If you're approved, your medication is billed at its usual price (for example, generic semaglutide is $100 per pen), with a $29 monthly care fee starting in Month 2.
Where do I upload my prescription?
Once your consultation is underway, log in at www.kinrohealth.ca/messages and add your prescription to the conversation with your practitioner. If you're not sure how, contact our support team and we'll help.
No content in our Help Center should ever be used as a substitute for direct medical advice from your practitioner or another qualified clinician.
