Can I opt out of the $29 monthly care fee?

The $29 care fee is a required part of every Kinro plan. It isn't an add-on you can remove — it's what makes the rest of your care possible.

We understand the question, and we want to explain it clearly: the $29 monthly care fee is a required part of being a Kinro patient, and it isn't something that can be removed from a plan.

Why the fee can't be opted out of

The care fee isn't an extra charge on top of a finished product — it's what funds the care itself. It covers ongoing access to your licensed practitioner, your prescription renewals, dose adjustments, and support throughout your treatment. Removing it would mean removing the very things that make Kinro a managed treatment plan rather than a one-time prescription.

It's part of how we keep medication affordable

Our model is built around the care fee. It's part of what allows us to offer medication at the prices we do and include free shipping. The $29 and the rest of your plan work together — they aren't separate products you can choose between.

When the fee applies

Your first month of care is free, and the $29 fee begins in Month 2 and continues monthly while your plan is active. Applicable tax is added to the fee. There's no tax on your medication itself.

What if I don't want to keep paying it?

That's completely your choice — you can cancel or pause your plan at any time, and once you do, the care fee stops and no further charges are made. You can manage this yourself from your profile under Billing, or contact our support team and we'll take care of it. (See: “How do I cancel or pause my subscription?”)
